Global Breakfast recipes?

topic posted Sat, December 25, 2004 - 12:14 AM by  Breakfast

I would love to find any recipes for breakfast from around the world!

All I know are biscuits, and pancakes and stuff like that. I would love some recipes.

I'M BORED with it!

What do they bake for breakfast in Armenia? how about China? Maybe they've got a hot oven in Nigeria that is rustling up something good? What to they eat in Istanbul? What's boiling on the stove in Madagascar? How about Burma? What do people in Japan have with their tea, or do they drink coffee?

This includes <but is not limited to> variations on muselix, chai, coffee, dal, or rice porridge(konji) and whatever else you may have. Baked goods recipes are fine too.

whatchya got?

    good morning!!
well, i'm from peru... but raised here.. as far as i know.. there's a hang-over breakfast called lomo saltado... (it's also a dinner dish)

    beef stripes (lean)
potatoes (cut in length.. almost like fries)
green and red peppers (cut in length)
    cilantro (handful)
    vinegar (table spoon)
    sugar (tea spoon)
    oil (any)
    cumin (tea spoon)
salt & pepper (up to you)
red onions (2 small ones, cut anyway you'd like)
habenero or jalepenos (small amount for a kick)
    tomatoes (3 length cut)
    fresh bread from a bakery

cook the beef first.... then add everything else.. as stir... serve with a roll of bread.. and with a cup of milk with coffee.

    enjoy and no more hagover!!

    Ricco
